MONDAYS

Blueberries Club (3rd-5th)

Blueberries club, this action packed team activity is only played in the gym of Barrett elementary. Think of Capture the flag but times eight! For a better understanding ask your 3rd-5th grader. Through the activity students will develop skills in teamwork, fitness levels, and strategizing.

Little Globetrotters - Lower Elementary Edition (K-2nd)

I am excited to introduce Little Globetrotters: Lower Elementary Edition, a unique and engaging world craft class designed specifically for kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders. This enrichment program will take your child on a creative journey around the globe, exploring the diverse cultures and artistic traditions of different countries.

Each session focuses on a different country's traditional crafts, allowing children to learn about new cultures while expressing their creativity. From the intricate designs of Japanese Koinobori to the vibrant colors of African masks, your child will have the opportunity to create beautiful and meaningful art pieces inspired by traditions from around the world.

What Will Your Child Learn?

Cultural Awareness: Through hands-on activities, children will gain an understanding and appreciation of the rich cultural heritages of various countries.
Artistic Skills: Students will develop fine motor skills and artistic techniques as they work with different materials and craft methods.
Creativity and Imagination: Encouraging creativity, each project allows children to express themselves while learning about the significance of the crafts they create.

This is a fun-filled and educational experience that enhances their creativity and broadens their horizons.

Spring 'Cool'inary Club: Young Chefs’ Global Adventures (K-5th)

Get ready for a fun-filled, flavor-packed spring with Sticky Fingers Cooking®! Our Springtime Gastronomy Cooking Club will whisk your young chefs on an exciting global culinary adventure, where they’ll cook up fresh, tasty, and healthy recipes each week. Led by our expert Chef Instructors, every class blends S.T.E.A.M., culture, and language into an unforgettable hands-on cooking experience!

With plant-forward, nut-free recipes and accommodations for allergies, our classes are a perfect fit for all ages. Explore a new world of flavors and dishes every week, as your kids whip, stir, and taste their way through springtime. Join the 'Cool'inary Club and make this season a delicious adventure!

Minecraft: Creative Building (K-5th)

Spawn into a world of endless possibilities! Join us for a fun-filled Minecraft adventure where your child will learn to build, design, and engineer their way to endless creativity. In this class, your child will learn essential Minecraft/Gaming skills, including building techniques, spatial reasoning, block physics, and a taste of redstone engineering! Children will have a blast building their dream home, creating 2D art, cobblestone towers using lava, animal farms and more! This class is fun for children of all levels, from beginners to experienced Minecraft players. No device needed! Join us and let your child's imagination soar!

MusicStart: Keyboarding for Beginners (K-3rd)

MusicStart® is a patented progressive music learning system that balances fun and development of skills. Using familiar songs, it teaches all the necessary basics to get started playing music. The MusicStart® Keyboard is especially designed for learning. It uses 4 instructive attachments that vary the challenge from color matching to letter matching to note matching and reading standard musical notation. MusicStart® is preparation for (or a supplement to) playing any instrument and teaches step-by-step problem solving. All materials are provided.

**Both new and repeating students are welcome, and will be appropriately challenged!

Robotics to Applied Mechanics (3rd-5th)

Robotics Applied to Mechanics is an exciting after-school program designed for children in grades 3 to 6. Our course focuses on nurturing creativity, fostering teamwork, building self-confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and teaching the value of learning from mistakes. Join us to unlock your child's full potential!

In our robotics course, students will have the exciting opportunity to design and build their own fun and engaging robots. Throughout the course, they will learn the fundamentals of robot construction with DC motors, gearboxes, solar panels, slide cranks, and even humanoid robots. This immersive class aims to unlock the students' full potential by fostering problem-solving skills and critical thinking. By the end of the course, students will not only have the knowledge to continue learning about robotics, but they will also be able to take their custom-built robots home to further explore and enjoy their creations.

THURSDAYS

Sports & PE Games (K-5th)

In this program, we will play some of the best sports and PE games ever invented. We will choose from knockout, extreme kickball, handball, capture the flag, modified dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, soccer and more. We will also take suggestions from children to make sure the fun never ends!

Each day, our goal is to motivate each player to compete with high effort and a positive attitude towards self and others. We hope you can join us!

Clay Factory with Kidcreate Studio (K-5th)

This engaging class will introduce young artists to the magical and messy world of clay. Unleash your child's imagination as they learn basic clay building techniques to create their own masterpieces. Kids embrace the messiness and join us for some sculpting, shaping, and a clay transforming experience. Let the messy fun begin!

FRIDAYS

Science: Potions & Explosions! (K-5th)

Let’s have fun with Chemistry! In this program, we will create “magic” potions and exciting chemical reactions that will blow your mind. Erupt a volcano, make indoor snow, grow crystals, blast a rocket into the air, and more. We will learn about the states of matter and how things change with mixtures, solutions and chemical reactions. Join us to channel your inner Professor Snape!

Glow Light Dance Party (K-5th)

Kids in Motion Glow Light Dance Party is an exciting one-of-a kind class that takes the great music and dance moves from our Zumba, Hip Hop, and other dance fitness classes, but we switch it up to include glow lights! This class will be set in a creative dance environment where the students will spend the class learning different choreographies to kid friendly songs. Children are provided with mini finger flashlights to create a glow dance party! In addition to a dance workout, they will also play games such as freeze dance, dancing 4 corners, limbo, center star, follow the leader, balloon games, limbo, and many more.
